Have you ever set a goal? Have you ever finished the goal? Jokes about New Year's Resolutions abound, mostly because we can all relate. Have you ever wanted to truly set a goal, and then actually achieve it? What keeps us from achieving goals? Is it poor planning, as in choosing a goal that is too difficult to achieve? Is it poor planning because we just can't work what needs to happen into our everyday life? I think it is a mixture of those last two things. What makes me want to share this, well, I'm setting a goal. I'm writing it down, since if you don't write a goal down it is just a wish. I work with a lady that speaks fluent Spanish; my business partner speaks fluent Spanish. I have decided that I am going to learn Spanish. I bought two workbooks today, and I am going to learn it. It is going to happen. That's what so many of us need to do. Absolutely, positively set a goal, and achieve it. It's so invigorating to achieve a goal and then see it to fruition. I have a friend that I have been following on Facebook her own personal journey to walk every day. I wish I lived closer to her and my schedule was a bit more open so that I could join her with that walk. She has lost weight (which was also a part of her goal) and she is actually preparing for trekking through Scotland. Her smile in her posts tells the entire story of working towards a goal and the elation within oneself on the achievement. So...what is your goal? What is it you have wanted to do? Let's get started with it! And, I will post various shots of my worksheets to show I am working on my goal!!
