We are beginning to realize that many people no longer set goals anymore. Instant gratification in most aspects of our lives has overtaken the long and tedious of setting goals. So, how does one go about setting a goal? First, one has to determine what goal needs to be set. What is ONE thing you want to do or change in your life? Do you want to cut back on television? Do you want to read more? Do you want to spend more time with your family? Choose ONE thing, just one! Then, plan what you need to do to achieve that goal. Write it down. Put it in some sort of printed word, and put it in front of you each day. Make a checklist. Yes. A checklist. You need to physically see that you are progressing otherwise your mind will run away with you and make you only see what you have NOT done to achieve your goal!! It takes time to achieve a goal. If you looking forward six months to finish a goal gives you stress, then choose a goal that will take a week to achieve instead. Work yourself up to the six month goal. Perhaps the six month goal can be broken down to several week long goals. You need to set the goal, make it happen. Our class on goal setting is here. To have some extra fun with your daily check off, here are some Incentive Charts. Our book on Goal Setting, Your True Colours is here.

We cannot stand on our own if we do not have any courage inside. We must have a strong heart and a strong mind that will enable us to be a great person or a great soldier. We are survivors and we are fighters that are doing their best to fight for our rights in this world. A game for us to manipulate with kindness and intelligence. A tricky maze that we all should learn how to play.
