Have you wondered just what Jesus would want from you for His birthday this year? To be a better person? To attend Church more often? To be nice to your siblings? To stop cussing? To watch less television? All of those are admirable things. However, how about you have an advent calendar that literally TELLS you what you are to do each day? t's here. You can find it at lighttheworld.org. Perhaps you don't want the 'old-fashioned' paper, but you want a daily reminder on your phone, or via email; same website and you can set that up. Do, truly there is no reason to not engage. It really is easy to do and yet, you WILL make a difference in someone's life. The theme for Light the World is One by One. If all of us made a little difference in one person's life imagine what a wonderful world we would live in by the end of December?! It would be amazing. And, remember what we tell you all the time, it takes 21 days to create a habit. So, if you are doing something nice for someone for 26 days, guess what you have just done...created a habit. So, you keep it up! How, you ask? Well, you won't get the daily reminders, but you can reuse the calendar each month. There are no rules that say you cannot do this over and over. The project police are not going to come to your door and say, "Desist! This was to be only for the month of December for the year 2019!" Not going to happen. "As I have loved you, love one another." "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto the least of these, ye have done it unto me." Just how difficult is it? Well, for the first day one was supposed to give a compliment to the next person that sent you a text. The next person was my sister in law. I told her how much I appreciate that she is attentive to small details in our lives. She had sent me a photo of model train shelf for an idea for my husband's model trains. She knew he was finally building his collection, and offered some suggestions...out of the blue. Literally, minutes after we got the reminder in Sunday School to reply to a text, I received her text.
