We are in a world that skips right over gratitude in most everything. We need to be grateful. It helps to ground us into reality. If we are always looking over the fence to see what others have and we do not have, depression sets in. Being depressed because one does not have the latest and greatest item is not a soul lifting emotion. Satan loves it when we compare ourselves to others, he wants us to do this so that we never feel we quite measure up to an unrealistic world. Social media has taken this to new heights as we see people posting all of the positives and happies of their world. What does it take for gratitude to be a daily part of one's life? Making a concerted effort to make it happen. Set a goal to make it happen. Decide it IS going to happen. That may mean a note on the mirror to remind you to be grateful. It may mean that you give yourself a reminder voice mail each day. It may mean that you write it down in a journal. We are all different, and to make gratitude a part of one's day is going to take planning with one's personality and daily tasks. Let's get started with gratitude right now...what are you grateful for? I'm grateful for social media and for technology that allows my granddaughter to see us when we talk; so much so that she knew who we were when she very young. I pray my gratitude every day for that technology and knowledge that people shared with the world. (This is not the time to get into a political discussion of major companies, this is recognizing the technology and that is all. Do not allow the Great Deceiver to detract you from your goal.) We have a class on Gratitude and the steps to achieve it successfully in one's life. You can click here to go to the class. Or, click here for the journal.

People find it hard to be grateful at times. Some people are busy making life, but not living into it. No matter where we are or who we become, it is very important to look back and see the matter that we are not before. We should always be humble and continue living in gratefulness and gratitude to people. It saddens me thinking that many people are relaying their standards through social media. They wanted to have and be someone who they are not because of social media.
